Before you take down and disassemble the tree, remove all decorations and lights that were added to the tree.
Remove each individual branch. Fold up the tips to compact the branch and allow it to be packed efficiently. Carefully place each branch back into the original box or tree bag. We recommend using the original box, tree bag or suitable container to store the tree.
After all branches have been taken off, remove the tree center pole from the stand. Separate the tree pole into sections (as it came originally) and place into the box. Fold the tree stand and put that away. Tape box shut to keep out dust and insects.
Ensure the storage area is free of water and moisture to prevent mold and mildew from accumulating on the tree. The storage area should be climate controlled so the tree doesn’t get too hot or too cold. Extreme hot or cold temperatures may cause product damage.
If a tree is pre-lit, ensure the tree is unplugged. Disconnect the light strings connected to the middle extension cord. Lifting up the sections slightly will reveal the strands that need to be disconnected.
Remove each section. Fold each branch up so that the branches are parallel to the tree pole. Compress individual tips as needed to compact the section so as to fit into the storage box or container. Fold and put the stand into the box. When packing up the tree, ensure there is no strain or stress on the light strings so as to ensure they do not get cut, frayed or damaged. Tape box shut to keep out dust and insects.
Ensure that the storage area is free of water and moisture to prevent mold and mildew from accumulating. The storage area should also climate controlled so the tree doesn’t get too hot or too cold. Extreme hot or cold temperatures may cause product damage. On white or flocked trees, heat and or humidity may cause the tree to fade or discolor.
